ALPINISM

MATTERHORN – 4478

The Matterhorn, also known as Cervino in Italian and Le Cervin in French, is an iconic Alpine mountain standing proudly at 4,478 meters above sea level. It’s famous for its distinctive silhouette and rich alpine legacy, making it one of the most recognizable peaks in the world.
Located between Zermatt and Breuil-Cervinia, the Matterhorn boasts four main faces: the north, east, and west faces in Switzerland, and the south face in Italy. It remains a highly coveted goal for climbers, with the classic ascent following the Hörnli Ridge. Other alternatives, such as the Zmutt and Lion Ridges, are also available upon request.
